We had a unique room with an outdoor bath, special for honeymooners. Delicious meals served in a private area, following Japanese ritual. Friendly staff gave us a small gift. They helped with parking and luggage. Nice yukata provided for a wonderful experience. Public baths were nice and location offered great views of the city. Easy to reach by shuttle bus from Kintetsu Nara Stn. Scenic position and clean, comfy room. Varied and tasty traditional Japanese food. Top-notch service, special thanks to Sho-san.

Best aspects of my Christmas stay were the excellent transportation options provided by the hotel, with shuttle services available to both Nara Station and Nara Park. This made exploring the city convenient and stress-free. Additionally, the onsen facilities were a highlight of my stay, offering a relaxing and rejuvenating experience after a day of sightseeing. The soothing hot waters and serene ambiance were just what I needed during my holiday.
Worst aspects of my stay were the lack of attention to detail when it came to the condition of the rooms. The walls had water stains and wallpaper damage, which gave the impression of a somewhat run-down establishment.

The view from our room's balcony was stunning! We could see the city and the surrounding mountains. The private outdoor bath on the balcony was a luxurious touch. The staff were super friendly and gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The shuttle service was very convenient and made it easy to get around. We also appreciated the complimentary tea and snacks in the lobby.
The meals were a bit too much for us, especially the dinner. We couldn't finish everything and felt bad for wasting food.

A fantastic night in Nara
During my recent stay at Mikasa Ryokan, I was blown away by the breathtaking view of the city from the scenic position of the ryokan. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and their prompt email communication prior to our arrival was top-notch. The kaiseki dinner was one of the best meals I had during my trip, and my friends raved about the satisfying bath experience. Despite the slight difficulty in reaching the ryokan, their free shuttle service from the city made it convenient for us. I highly recommend this ryokan for an unforgettable experience.
